Go slowly so you don’t spill any of the water. Pressure cook on high for 20 minutes. The cooking time for soaked barley is shortened by a maximum of 15 minutes.

Place the water and barley into a medium saucepan; Cover, set over high heat and bring to a boil. If using chinese barley, soak for a couple of hours.

You will be cooking it on high pressure, so make sure the sealing ring is in place.
