To ensure good coverage you may also use a heavy zip top plastic bag. That’ll tell you when the meat is ready for searing. Cut steak into a small bite sized pieces and place in a medium sized bowl.

This is one of the fastest ways to prepare steak tips. While it’s preheating, take the steak out of the fridge and let it come down to room temperature for 30 to 45 minutes.
